My client, a Global Investment bank, is building a next-gen electronic trading system from the ground up, and is looking for a small number of Senior Java Engineers who are passionate about crafting blazing-fast, low-latency architectures and who thrive on solving real-world engineering puzzles.

This is not your average role. This is a greenfield programme of work, following the fabled, Josh Levine "Sequencer" architecture. This is your chance to build the brain and nervous system of a global equities trading platform!

💡 What You’ll Do:

• Architect and build the foundational framework powering this new trading ecosystem.
• Design, code, and own components like:
  
  • Smart Order Routers
  • Matching Engines
  • Real-Time Risk Engines
  • Automated Trading Strategies
• Dive deep into Java, squeeze out latency, and think in nanoseconds.
• Lead design discussions, write clean test-driven code, and collaborate with brilliant minds.
• Work with cloud tech like AWS (bonus points if you're already cloud-savvy).
• Be on the frontlines of innovation — and back it up with production-level reliability.

🧠What You Bring:

• A creative engineering mindset and a passion for low-level, high-performance design.
• 10+ years of hands-on Java wizardry, ideally within real-time trading environments.
• Mastery of concurrency, memory management, and low/no GC strategies.
