To support this expansion and ensure the continued delivery of efficient, compliant, and technology-driven services, the business requires a skilled Developer Programmer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications and digital systems that support operational efficiency, client management, workforce coordination, compliance monitoring, service delivery, and organisational reporting functions.
About the Role
The Developer Programmer is a key position responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and digital solutions that support the organisation’s operational and strategic objectives. The role will contribute to improving internal systems, enhancing data management capabilities, supporting cybersecurity requirements, and ensuring technology platforms effectively meet business and user needs.
The position requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with management and operational teams to develop innovative software solutions that improve efficiency, security, compliance, and service delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching, consulting, analysing, and evaluating software and system requirements across the organisation
- Consulting with management and operational staff to identify business needs and develop effective technology solutions
- Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and system enhancements
- Writing, maintaining, and modifying program code in accordance with business requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards
- Identifying technology limitations and recommending system improvements, upgrades, and process enhancements
- Testing, debugging, diagnosing, and resolving software faults, errors, and system issues
- Developing and maintaining databases, integrations, APIs, and application interfaces to support business operations
- Writing and maintaining technical documentation, user manuals, operational procedures, and system specifications
- Managing software testing processes, deployment activities, automation procedures, and system updates
- Implementing and maintaining technical security controls to protect organisational data, systems, and digital assets
- Monitoring system performance and analysing operational metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Supporting cybersecurity initiatives through risk identification, threat mitigation, vulnerability assessments, and security monitoring
- Developing continuous improvement strategies for software development, system performance, digital transformation, and service delivery
- Providing technical advice regarding software acquisition, system upgrades, technology investments, and implementation projects
- Collaborating with management and stakeholders to ensure software solutions align with operational objectives and regulatory requirements
- Supporting the development and maintenance of digital tools, applications, and technology platforms used throughout the organisation
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (ANZSCO Skill Level 1); or
- At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in software development, programming, application design, systems implementation, and software maintenance
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, databases, software development frameworks, and testing methodologies
- Experience with application integration, database management, and system architecture principles
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, system security controls, data protection requirements, and risk management practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a collaborative environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, system performance, and security
- Preference will be given to suitably qualified Australian Citizens and Australian Permanent Residents

Pay: $105,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
