Pros
Great people who care, interesting clients
Cons
I shouldn't be at all shocked by the fake reviews posted here, but it speaks volumes about the state of the company at the moment. If you're looking to join, ask tough questions and be certain you're willing to jump in at such an uncertain time in the company. Why uncertain? As many others have pointed out, the company's direction changes constantly and many key staff have left out of frustration, or are on their way out. Squiz have had to make some big decisions regarding product and company structure, and neither has been managed smoothly. This has led to much of the uncertainty as things are in a constant state of flux, with no strong leadership guiding the way. Squiz needs dedicated people and a great culture in order to survive from here on, but there seems to be an us vs them mentality from the top which is counterproductive. I mean, read some of these 5 star reviews and tell me they're genuine! Rather than spending effort on your online image, pay attention to the staff who are like canaries in the mine. When they start leaving on masse, find the root cause. What's sad is that Squiz could be a great company. Unless things change soon, the decline will continue. If you're looking for a job here (and I get it, it's a tough market), know what you're in for. Don't expect much from the Executive, expect a high possibility of a stressful environment with low morale, don't expect growth, and don't expect market rates. If you're in sales, pay careful attention to the compensation plan before you join. All said, you'll probably work with great people around you, but don't be surprised if they're looking for an out!

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Squiz full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
My colleagues were some of the best I've ever had in my professional life. Very intelligent group of people with honest desire to do the right thing. Leave structure is good (lumped annual and sick into one bucket)
Cons
Where does one begin... My thoughts are purely from a sales individual contributor perspective at Squiz and I did not have experience from a product or services standpoint. CULTURE: The corporate culture is some of the worst. There is nepotism and favouritism for those that are within the founders close circle. If you're not in this group good luck getting a look at career progression or salary reviews. The middle management is horrible, my manager was a good coach but he was absolutely toothless when it came to making a call, I suspect this was because he wan't enabled or was stopped by the founders. There is also a massive undertone of greed. There is very little money to go around for exciting initiatives and forget about benefits for employees. The founders are fully focused on profitability at the expense of culture and job security. They had their 3rd restructure in as many years and let go of most of their sales staff in April to turn a profit in June. There is very much a US(founders) vs Them (employee) culture. From what I heard after this restructure the services teams were asked to work 12-15+ hour shifts to deliver projects and take a 20% paycut!!! Showcases what the culture is all about, work you to the bone, no job security and no real sense of caring for the employee. At Squiz you are just a number and a resource in the view of the founders, all they care about is getting richer and not the people. PAY- HORRIBLE , some of the worst base salaries in the industry and an even worst commission plan. STAY AWAY. You will be promised pay rises but they will never come as the founders are more focused on the dollar in their pocket than actually remunerating top performance. No equity plan, No solid incentive plan, no support to achieve targets. CAREER PROGRESSION- Given the constantly redundancies there is some career progression but don't expect an increase in salary for a role with more responsibilities and work.
