THE ROLE...

As a Chemical Process Technician, this role will be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical production equipment and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of process plant. Your primary focus will be on maintaining production rates, improving unit operation efficiencies, effect process changes to adapt to new equipment, develop SOP’s & Checklists, conduct Risk Assessments, Plant Run Log entries, lab data interpretations, and adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

YOU WILL...

• Run and monitor production equipment (pumps, valves, reactors, control systems), keeping an eye on temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels — adjusting as needed.
• Carry out regular equipment checks and basic maintenance; report faults immediately.
• Oversee the full production process from raw materials through to final processing, maintaining accurate batch records throughout.
• Check raw materials, in-progress, and finished products against quality standards and resolve any issues.
• Follow all safety rules, GMP, and environmental regulations at all times; report concerns to your Team Lead immediately.
• Keep your workspace clean, organised, and 5S-compliant.
• Use SPC / 6-Sigma tools to track output and efficiency, and actively suggest improvements.
• Work with engineers, lab staff, maintenance, and quality teams to solve problems and run process improvement trials.

YOU...

• Diploma in Chemical, Process, Industrial, or Production Engineering or tell us why you qualify
• Experience in a similar chemical or process manufacturing role.
• Solid understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Able to read PFDs, P&IDs, and SOPs.
• Familiar with quality controls and safety regulations.
• Competent in Excel, Word, and email; strong with numbers.
• Good problem-solver with sharp attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Six Sigma qualification is a bonus.
• A team player who contributes to a positive, inclusive work culture.
