You’re a determined leader who stays true to your purpose and enjoys overcoming setbacks or obstacles.
You’ll have the opportunity to stretch yourself as you take on projects from start to finish. From design and tender to commissioning and transitioning, your work will ensure a successful collaboration and outcome for everyone involved.
In this role, you'll:
Lead the Infrastructure Engineering, Design and Assurance team for a major station delivery program, providing end-to-end technical leadership to ensure station designs are safe, compliant, integrated and buildable from detailed design through construction, testing and commissioning. You’ll take ownership of the infrastructure outcomes across civil and structural works, architecture, building services and station systems, ensuring all elements align to scope, performance and whole-of-life objectives.
You’ll oversee the coordination and integration of complex technical interfaces across station packages, working closely with designers, contractors and project teams to ensure designs meet required standards and are delivered in line with project milestones. This includes driving strong design governance, monitoring performance and managing risks and non-conformances through robust assurance processes and clear technical decision-making.
Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and design specialists, you’ll provide authoritative technical advice and foster collaboration across delivery partners and stakeholders. Your leadership will support seamless integration between station infrastructure, rail systems and surrounding precincts, enabling the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure outcomes for the Sydney Metro program.
This is a fixed term full time role until 30th December 2028.

About you
You’re an experienced leader in the infrastructure space with a strong track record delivering complex, multidisciplinary station or major infrastructure designs from concept through to construction and handover. You bring deep technical knowledge across civil, structural, architectural or building services disciplines, along with practical experience managing integration across multiple systems and interfaces in large-scale projects.
You’re confident leading diverse technical teams and coordinating stakeholders to resolve complex design and delivery challenges. Your strong understanding of engineering governance, assurance and safety in design enables you to manage risk effectively and ensure technical outcomes meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
You’re also a collaborative and credible leader who builds strong relationships across project teams, contractors and stakeholders to maintain alignment and delivery momentum. With a focus on technical excellence and continuous improvement, you support the delivery of safe, reliable and integrated infrastructure outcomes in complex project environments.
