The Graduate position :
A Graduate position is a permanent full-time role where you are given the training and opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career.
Graduate positions are open to students who have graduated within the last 15 months.
About the role:
Graduates get to assist the team by learning the basics of audit initially, which then allows them to have the foundational knowledge to grow in the role and take on further challenges in the audit team as time progresses. Ways the graduates can assist is setting up the audit files, requesting initial and further audit documents from the client, and assisting team members with testing key balances within an audit.
Graduates will need to report to seniors and managers any findings they identify within an audit engagement on a regular basis.
Graduates get to gain an understanding of the key drivers of a client through engaging and communicating with the client prior to and throughout the audit engagement. This in-depth collaboration allows them to understand how the business of the client operates, and as a result, identify key processes and material balances which could impact the audit opinion and financial statements.
Graduates get on-hand exposure to the Forvis Mazars audit methodology by engaging in online training (U-Learn), regularly reading the manual and asking questions to seniors and managers, allowing them to identify how best to apply the methodology to their work and as a result the audit file.
Graduates will be given opportunities to engage with key client stakeholders by holding meetings to discuss key processes at the business, as well as attending key audit meetings such as the audit kick-off and close meeting. They may also engage with key executives and shareholders depending on the key financial reporting requirements of the business requiring the auditor to engage with these stakeholders.
