We have two office locations in the region, one in Newcastle and another in East Maitland, where the graduate accountant will be placed.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Graduate Accountant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our experienced team of accountants while providing support to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently graduated from a relevant accounting program and is looking to start their career in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with data entry and bookkeeping tasks
• Preparing financial statements and reports
• Providing support to our team of accountants
• Learning and understanding tax laws and regulations
• Communicating with clients and other stakeholders
• Option to study for professional accounting qualifications (CPA or CA)

Qualifications & Skills:

• Recently graduated with a degree in accounting or related field
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Experience with accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB) is a plus
