In this role, you'll:
You’ll provide specialist financial insights and decision support to divisional and agency leaders across Transport and act as a subject matter expert in financial analysis, modelling, and business partnering, enabling leaders to understand cost drivers, evaluate funding options, and optimise the financial sustainability of programs and services.
You’ll translate complex financial data into actionable insights, ensure alignment with central agency requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement in financial management practices across the organisation.
You’ll prepare high-quality commentary, insights, and recommendations on divisional and cluster financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and cost drivers for executive audiences.
This position is located at our Macquarie Park office however; there will be flexibility to work from the offices of the supported divisions or branches.
This role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance at Sydney offices and approved remote working.

About you
You’ll are tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline and supported by industry experience and a full member of a recognised professional accounting body.
You’ll have significant experience in financial partnering, insights, and analysis within a large, complex organisation combined with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including expertise in financial modelling, scenario testing, and performance evaluation.
You will be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where delivery on tight deadlines is critical.
You’re a self-starter, know how to build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively to drive business outcomes.
