Make an impact where strategy drives real-world decisions. Join our Statewide Strategic Planning team to lead development of a statewide road network strategic plan for the DEECA managed forest road network. Help shape how investment and management is prioritised across Victoria.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will lead and coordinate strategic planning delivery, with a key focus on:
Leading development of the statewide road network strategic plan, setting direction for management, prioritisation and investment
Managing and guiding an analyst delivering GIS and spatial inputs
Coordinating delivery with statewide and regional project teams
Leading project governance, reporting and milestone management
Translating analysis into clear prioritisation and investment guidance
Ensuring the plan supports regional and district operational planning and decision-making
What we’re looking for
Experience leading complex strategic or planning projects
Strong project coordination, governance and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to translate data and analysis into clear, practical direction
Experience or interest in forest and fire management, road networks or land management (desirable)
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
Demonstrated understanding of forest, fire management and/or road management programs/ services
Tertiary qualifications in natural resource or environmental management, is highly desirable
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
