I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2018
Interview
I was not in / near Ireland so my interview process was conducted virtually.
1) Phone Screening Interview
2) Skype Interview
2) Virtual Assessment
I have to say that my interviews with Salesforce felt the most human compared to those I've had in the past. The interviewer really just wants to get a feel for who you are and what kind of a fit you'd be at the company (which is obviously really important at Salesforce), as well as give you the opportunity to figure the same out for yourself – genuinely, don't be afraid to ask questions! Of course next to that you'll be asked to discuss your background, some of the things you've done in the past, and why that makes you a good fit for the company / role (basically the usual game).
The virtual assessment consisted of a role play presentation based on a case, followed by an interview. For the assessment, you will receive a case 1 week prior to your assessment date. On the day itself, you'll need to present your "solutions" (or whatever is required by the case) to two interviewers, however be aware that they will most likely take on the roles of characters from the case, such as a CEO and a CFO as was the case for me. They will of course also ask you questions, typically tied to these roles, and again these are only to see how well you understand Salesforce products. NB: Usually, this assessment is conducted in a group in which case you would have 45mins prior to the presentation to work with other applicants and then jointly present your solution(s).
The final interview was with a manager under whom I would work later in the program, so really just to break the ice in the case that you do go forward as well as to give them a say in the hiring decision.
I hope I've explained the process well! In any case, the best advice I can give is to do your research on the company & its products, and then just stay cool and be yourself in the interviews. Good luck!
