Your Role as a Graduate - Chemical Engineer
As a Graduate – Chemical Engineer, you’ll be gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge industrial processes and technologies.
What you will be doing
Get involved in real-world hazard identification and risk assessments, support process design, research, and continuous improvement projects to optimize operations;
Support real-world manufacturing operations, improve processes to ensure efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness;
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operations compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards within the workplace;
Contribute to the design and optimization of safe manufacturing and storage processes, especially for explosive or high-risk materials;
Participate in plant turnarounds and major projects;
Participate in occasional off-site engineering and local community activities supported by Orica.
What you will bring
A degree completed or due for completion in 2026 in Chemical Engineering;

Location and Support
These roles will be based at our Yarwun Manufacturing Facility, close to Gladstone, Queensland, where you’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience in a dynamic operational environment.
