Join the Chief Data Office at Transport for NSW and help shape the future of data governance in the age of AI. As AI, advanced analytics and data-driven decision making accelerate across the organisation, you will lead the transformation of governance from policy and compliance into a practical, business-embedded capability that enables trusted data products, clear accountability and measurable value.

This is a rare opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change, work directly with senior leaders, and help establish a modern, federated data governance model at one of Australia's largest and most complex organisations.

In this role, you'll:
You will be involved in leading enterprise data governance strategy, establishing frameworks, policies and standards to ensure trusted, compliant and high-quality data across the organisation.

You will support the embedding of data ownership, stewardship and governance practices, driving adoption of curated data products and enabling safe data sharing and data democratisation.

You will be responsible for leading governance operations and stakeholder engagement, including advisory services, training programs, continuous improvement initiatives and managing governance forums and team performance.

About you

You have extensive experience in data governance, data management and data sharing frameworks within complex environments, with a strong understanding of privacy, regulatory and lifecycle considerations.

You have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across business units and drive adoption of governance practices and standards.

You are a strong leader with proven experience managing teams and governance operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver continuous improvement outcomes.
