Perfect role for an Site Engineer who is looking to build depth, variety and long-term career progression within our Road Asset Maintenance Contract team (two roles available).

The role delivers vital road construction and maintenance works across South Coast Queensland region, is hands-on offering exposure to a wide variety of road rehabilitation, pavement, intersection and safety upgrade projects.

About the Role
Reporting to the Asset Works Manager you will play a key role in delivery of road construction and maintenance, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with supervisors, subcontractors and TMR stakeholders, taking ownership of day-to-day site activities, project coordination and engineering compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities including subcontractors, resources and materials
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ and contractual requirements
• Prepare and manage two-week lookahead programs and long term works planning
• Support cost tracking, forecasting and monthly project reporting
• Assist with contractor claims, certifications, and head contract claims
• Conduct site inspections, audits and quality assurance activities
• Liaise with TMR representatives, stakeholders and the local community
• Support constructability reviews, design inputs and scope development

Required Skills and Experience
You are practical, motivated, enjoy working in live environments and collaborating with site teams. Must be comfortable taking ownership, communicating clearly and balancing safety, quality and delivery outcomes.

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or related
• Current drivers licence and construction white card
• Roadworks and pavement construction experience
• Strong understanding of QA, LOT, NCR and RFI processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong planning, time management and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (CivilPro – highly regarded)
• Flexibility to work nights (very rare)

It would also be great if you have TMR project experience and Traffic Management or Traffic Design exposure and experience across both capital works and maintenance projects.
