In this role, you'll:
Join the Rail Fleet Programs Branch of the Infrastructure Projects & Engineering Division that lead the development and delivery of capital project outcomes – public transport statewide.
Reporting to the Head of Rail Fleet Programs, you will lead the commercial and controls function across a major Rail infrastructure portfolio, ensuring projects consistently achieve high standards in cost, quality and performance. You will set the direction for commercial strategy, governance and risk management, enabling confident decision-making at scale.
Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex commercial matters, including claims, disputes and negotiations. You will design and implement resolution strategies, safeguard program outcomes and maintain strong relationships across government, industry and delivery partners.
Drive integration across commercial, project controls and performance functions, building a cohesive and high-performing environment. You will partner with senior leaders across branches and divisions, providing clear insight into program performance and aligning delivery to strategic objectives.
Champion robust contract management, financing and procurement strategies, ensuring value for money and sustainable outcomes for NSW. You will bring a disciplined, forward-looking approach to governance, audit and project controls, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and innovation.

About you
Senior executive with deep experience leading commercial, legal or financial functions within complex infrastructure or major projects environments
Proven capability in contract negotiation, claims and dispute resolution, and commercial risk management at scale
Strong track record integrating commercial, controls and performance functions to deliver high-quality program outcomes
Highly developed stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence across government, industry and executive peers
Strategic thinker with sound judgement, comfortable operating in ambiguity and balancing competing priorities
Demonstrated success overseeing project controls and governance frameworks across large, multi-disciplinary programs
