If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.
Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.
In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering modern, cloud‑based web applications, data‑driven digital products, scalable APIs, and secure, high‑performance systems that support enterprise architecture, governance and cybersecurity standards.
This role will see you lead the design, development and delivery of cloud‑native applications; build serverless and containerised RESTful APIs; collaborate across cross‑functional teams to deploy and automate services; embed CI/CD, testing and monitoring; address cybersecurity and compliance requirements; modernise and automate business logic and data processes; and mentor developers while contributing to a culture of technical excellence, with development opportunities across cloud technologies, architectural leadership, data‑driven application design, automation, and enterprise‑scale delivery.
You will build new ways of improving system scalability, performance, security and automation in a matrixed environment with diverse stakeholder priorities, competing deadlines, multiple development frameworks, and evolving or ambiguous business requirements that must still result in high‑quality, maintainable and secure solutions.
For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.
About you
Your extensive cloud‑native application development experience (AWS), strong front‑end proficiency (TypeScript, React, Angular), advanced back‑end skills (Python, Node.js, Java), database expertise (PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL), and experience with data pipelines (Spark/PySpark) formed across Agile and DevOps environments, digital product delivery, and enterprise‑scale development will see you excel in delivering secure, scalable applications, overcoming challenges of translating complex requirements and balancing multiple priorities, and bringing automation, best‑practice engineering and performance optimisation to lead to high‑quality digital products, improved analytics capability, and enhanced customer outcomes.
You’re recognized as an advanced communicator, skilled at translating complex technical information, engaging diverse audiences and contributing to organisational information‑sharing, experienced in cloud‑native application design, CI/CD, secure REST API development, front‑ and back‑end engineering, and collaborative delivery across multi‑disciplinary teams.
