Engagement Type Two (2) year maximum term contract
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The primary purpose of this position is to identify and facilitate investment attraction opportunities from
the public and private sector that will drive development across the key areas of mining, construction,
tourism, retail, hospitality, and the digital economy.
The position also provides timely and accurate information and advice to the organisation, Council and the
community on business and economic development matters, with general enquiries dealt with in a
professional manner and a high level of support provided to the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the following areas and includes but is not limited to:
Regional Community Benefits Program (RCBP) and similar funding streams.
o Ensure major projects and resource developments deliver measurable and lasting
benefits to the Mount Isa community.
o Coordinate Council submissions, partnerships and advocacy to align with RCBP
objectives and broader regional development programs.
o Establishment of a fund in conjunction with the finance team to ensure compliance
a positive relationship with the sector
Out-of-ordinary hours work may be required. Council reserves the right to change these duties at any time.
