Key job responsibilities
Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies
Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks
Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed
Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets
Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity
Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks
Collaborate with the Area Managers and Operations Managers in tracking, analyzing, and reporting metrics
Support the Area Managers and Operations Managers in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of objectives
Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules
Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in warehouse operations
Experience in logistics
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Experience in back office operations, escalation management and troubleshooting environments
Can lift up to 20kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Experience managing teams
Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
