What you'll do
The Program Manager is the driving force behind Cartology’s strategic delivery framework, optimising resource capacity and shaping portfolio health through robust governance and planning. In this role, you will spearhead Cartology’s largest, most complex cross functional initiatives,ranging from operational effectiveness to advanced AI implementations,by partnering seamlessly across Group Transformation and the broader Woolworths Group. Crucially, you will champion the human side of transformation, applying advanced change management practices like Change Impact Assessments and Business Readiness frameworks.

Strategic Delivery & Portfolio Governance: Establish and maintain the governance, frameworks, and tools required to deliver Cartology’s top tier priorities

Structured Change Leadership: Drive change management strategies, impact assessments, and communication plans across varying priority streams to influence stakeholders without direct authority and ensure long-term user adoption.

Complex Program Management: Directly lead the execution of Cartology’s largest, most business critical cross functional programs

Lifecycle Management & Transitions: Govern the end-to-end lifecycle of initiatives from concept to realisation under strict stage-gate frameworks, formally transitioning maturing strategies (like AI and Agentic Advertising) into active execution.

Integrated Roadmap & Sequencing: Maintain the integrated portfolio roadmap by mapping critical paths, milestones, and complex interdependencies across key streams.

Planning & Operational Cadence: Orchestrate the end to end annual and quarterly planning processes across Cartology and the wider Woolworths Group, while driving the weekly program cadence and owning executive SteerCo agendas.

Value Realisation & Reporting: Track financial and non financial benefits against baselines using the enterprise tools, while delivering high quality dashboards and health metrics for Cartology Leadership.

Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical and matrixed risks, establishing strong links with Tech Program Managers.
What you’ll bring
-
7-10+ years of experience leading complex Program/Project Management. Proven track record of driving large-scale business transformation and capability uplifts within structured PMO environments.

Experience managing business critical change within fast evolving Retail, FMCG, or Digital/Technology environments is highly advantageous.

Demonstrated experience designing, setting up, or managing centralised functions, shared services, and enterprise operating models to streamline cross functional change.

A strong history of steering high impact initiatives that successfully realise significant financial targets, cost-savings, and long-term business value.

Proficient in navigating complex governance structures and utilising enterprise PPM tools Experience managing business critical change within fast evolving Retail, FMCG, or Digital/Technology environments is highly advantageous.
