As the Senior Test Analyst, based in Brisbane, you’ll be joining our Core Banking team, working on critical systems that underpin our banking, payments and digital platforms. You will provide expertise across different testing approaches and identify critical defects early, preventing customers facing issues and reducing production incidents.
You will contribute to the continual improvement of the testing methodology, test tools, processes, approaches, and techniques.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing automated test frameworks and regression suites to improve quality, coverage and efficiency across critical banking systems
- Executing automated testing for business-as-usual releases, defect fixes and system enhancements, identifying issues early and reducing production incidents
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and reliable software delivery
- Working closely with Test lead, Business SME’s to ensure automation aligns with BAU priorities and release timelines
- Troubleshooting automation failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Identifying opportunities to uplift automation coverage, improve framework efficiency and optimise BAU regression cycles.
- Manage the defect management process and tools ensuring the quality of items raised and adherence to the defined defect lifecycle

You'll be successful in this role if you have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automation tester.
- Experience of testing methodologies, automation frameworks and scripting (Eg: TestNG, Selenium, Java)
- Proven ability to deliver automated test solutions across planning, scripting, execution, reporting and maintenance phases.
- Strong background integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Highly skilled in maintaining stable, reliable automated regression packs for BAU cycles.
- Develop and maintain End to End automated regression test suits (UI and API)
- Experience in developing BDD test cases using Cucumber or similar tool
- Familiar with Jira, Zypher or equivalent test management tools
- Experience with Git-based repositories for branching, merging and code reviews.
- Experience with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, and Parasoft.
- Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar tools
- Solid understanding of non-functional requirements and performance KPIs(Response time, throughput, concurrency and resource utilisation)
- Any experience with financial transaction tools like Paysim is desirable
- Demonstrated relationship management, consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills
