An opportunity has arisen within Boral’s IT Team for a Cloud Solution Engineer. This is a hands-on, technical role responsible for managing and supporting Boral's end user computing environment, identity platforms, and Microsoft ecosystem. The successful candidate will ensure Boral's workplace infrastructure remains secure, well-managed, and continuously improving in support of day-to-day business operations. They will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable endpoint, identity, and collaboration solutions.
Your day will involve:
Microsoft 365 & Identity
Administer the M365 platform (SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive), including site architecture, permissions, governance, and licensing.
Manage Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), covering user and group lifecycle, hybrid identity, conditional access, and directory sync via Azure AD Connect.
Automation & Scripting
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, reporting, and configuration management across the Microsoft stack.
Infrastructure & Endpoints
Manage Windows Server and desktop environments, including patching, imaging, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and security hardening.
Administer Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM/MECM for device enrolment, compliance, application deployment, and endpoint lifecycle management.
Support end user computing, including hardware lifecycle, software packaging, and escalated desktop support.
Cloud & Networking
Utilise Azure services for identity-adjacent workloads, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Monitor, and cloud management tooling.
Support Windows networking tasks relevant to endpoint and identity operations (DNS, DHCP, VPN, network access).
Operations & Improvement
Use ServiceNow for incident logging, change requests, and service catalogue management; basic platform administration experience is advantageous.
Respond to incidents and service requests, maintaining platform stability and SLA adherence.
Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, security hardening, and documentation.
