Reporting to the Information Technology Coordinator you’ll develop a range of practical skills and experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Your key responsibilities will be to assist in helpdesk requests along with maintaining and supporting Council’s IT infrastructure including our server, storage, network, security and communications environments.
Working in our ICT team isn’t just about being good with computers and technology. Yes, of course you’re great with all thing’s tech, but you also enjoy helping people. Furthermore, you’re a problem solver with great customer service skills. Add to that your enthusiasm for learning and a desire to combine work with study and you’re the perfect candidate!

Traineeship information and study requirements
This traineeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in both local government and ICT whilst being supported to learn and grow in a friendly and enjoyable working environment. Across 24 months you will work full time (35-hour week) alongside experienced supervisors and colleagues, gaining hands-on industry experience and receiving 3 hours paid study time per week towards achieving a nationally recognised Certificate IV qualification.
