ANZ Private caters to ANZ's highest net worth individuals and family groups, assisting them to manage, grow and preserve their assets. We provide our clients with a personalised relationship and holistic solutions tailored to their values, aspirations, needs and concerns and their financial situation.

In this Sydney based role, you will be managing a portfolio of high value clients with investment, lending (Commercial & Retail) and personal banking needs. You will be the primary relationship contact supported by an Associate and Specialists enabling timely and relevant solutions for all your clients’ needs.

The Senior Private Banker will be the primary relationship contact responsible for a portfolio of Private clients. This role will provide timely and efficient execution of relevant solutions across banking and wealth solutions to these clients and you will work collaboratively with them to navigate ANZ, in order to provide accurate and efficient solutions to their specific needs. This role will run the portfolio in a risk aware, client centric manner. Collaboration will also be required with Specialists, Lending Team, Client Services Team, other Private Bank segments, and importantly other ANZ business units in order to fully meet client needs.

As a Senior Private Banker, your key accountabilities include:

Growth of the portfolio through the acquisition of new proprietary clients

Retention of banking funds and effective margin management for client groups on set

Delivering revenue growth and meet financial targets as necessary

Ensuring the delivery of an engaging client experience with ANZ Private in response to client need

Ensuring lending is suitable and compliant and all decisions are communicated quickly

Ensuring appropriate and consistent governance across the set whilst maintaining strong transaction execution

Working with Private Bank Support, Lending and other Specialists to execute effectively on client needs
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Demonstrated experience as a trusted relationship banker who is able to represent clients’ interests and evolving needs

Business development desire & capability that draws on a broad circle of influence & established stakeholder relationships

Strong Credit experience to deliver lending transactions & grow the balance sheet

Knowledge of transactional banking, ANZ products, systems & processes

Exceptional communication, organisational and time management skills

Strong focus on compliance, attention to detail & flawless execution is required

Ability to proactively problem solve on behalf of clients & ANZ

Collaborative & team-oriented mindset
