In this role, you'll:
Join the Operations Planning branch of the Coordinator-General division, that is responsible for integrated multi-modal transport planning and operational improvements for changes to the traffic and public transport system associated with infrastructure delivery, planned changes to networks and services.
Reporting to the ED Operations Planning, you will lead the establishment of the Renewables Energy Zone (REZ) program at a pivotal stage, bringing clarity, structure and momentum in a complex, evolving environment to enable safe, efficient and integrated operations across the transport network.
Drive strategic and operational alignment by translating emerging analysis into clear, evidence-based recommendations for senior executives and government stakeholders, shaping investment pathways and major program decisions.

About you
Proven senior leadership experience in live operational transport or infrastructure environments.
Demonstrated ability to deliver operational systems, frameworks and mobilisation at scale.
Extensive experience leading early-stage program scoping and establishment, with the ability to create clarity, direction and momentum where structures and processes are still forming.
Strong capability in driving discovery, analysis and option development, including testing scenarios, interrogating assumptions and synthesising insights to inform strategic choices.
Deep expertise in operational and strategic communications, including influencing executive and public stakeholders.
Strong track record in high-level coordination and senior stakeholder engagement across government, industry and community.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with external partners such as Police, councils, communities, industry and government agencies to validate concepts and ensure program directions reflect real world constraints.
Commercially astute with strong road safety and traffic management understanding.
Skilled in assessing cumulative and network-wide impacts, balancing community, network and policy outcomes.
Experienced in navigating ambiguity, shaping strategy and providing authoritative advice at executive level.
Collaborative and outcomes-focused leader, able to align diverse partners and drive momentum in complex environments.
Experience mobilising cross functional teams and aligning emerging functions around scope, sequencing and handover requirements to support transition into delivery phases.
