About the Role
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Junior BI Developer to join our Data & Analytics team and help turn data into meaningful insights that improve outcomes for our residents and teams across the organisation.
This 12‑month fixed term, hybrid role (2 days onsite in Burnley) is a standout opportunity for someone with experience building BI dashboards, and 2–3 years’ experience.
You’ll collaborate with experienced BI Developers and Data Engineers to deliver trusted reporting and dashboards that enable better, data‑driven decisions, bringing data to life through intuitive design, strong data quality, and the ability to translate business questions into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Reporting & Dashboard Development
Build and enhance Power BI dashboards from governed datasets
Use data storytelling to drive decisions
Develop DAX measures and semantic models
Support deployment, refresh, and access
Data Preparation & Modelling
Extract, transform, and validate data using SQL
Support dimensional models
Identify and resolve data issues
Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
Gather requirements and refine solutions with stakeholders
Translate needs into actionable reporting
Maintain clear documentation
Contribute to best practice and continuous improvement
About You
You’re curious, collaborative, and solutions-focused, with a passion for turning data into insights that make a difference.
You’ll bring:
Mandatory:
2–3 years’ experience in a BI, reporting, or analytics role
Hands-on experience building BI dashboards
Demonstrated experience using Azure data factory and logic apps
Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling concepts
Experience working across end-to-end BI workflows (Power BI, SQL, Azure)
A keen eye for data visualisation and storytelling
Confidence working with stakeholders to shape and refine solutions

Nice to have:
Knowledge of BI governance or performance optimisation
Familiarity with tools like Snowflake or dbt
Microsoft certifications (e.g. Power BI, AZ-900)
