As the Manager you will:
Lead and support the Workforce Planning team to develop, implement, progress, monitor and review a range of key departmental workforce strategies and plans.
Manage significant workforce initiatives and projects that contribute to the achievement of departmental strategic priorities and business objectives, including organisational reviews, workforce planning, employee engagement and retention initiatives and other HR projects to address workforce priority challenges.
Oversee the department's annual strategies, including communication planning, analysis and reporting of results, and aligning workforce improvements initiatives to workforce insights.
Coordinate the department's workforce governance committee, including overseeing the team's secretariate function.
Collaborate with other areas of the department and external stakeholders to develop, deliver and operationalise workforce strategies across the department that will enhance the growth of a diverse and culturally capable workforce.
Participate in the strategic planning and execution of strategic plans within the department, especially across workforce planning, employee engagement and retention, and inclusion and diversity.
Prepare and coordinate submissions, reports, Board papers, governance committee briefs, executive briefs and other correspondence on departmental workforce planning initiatives and programs to build workforce engagement and capability, and support business operations.
Provide strategic and authoritative advice to senior management on matters relating to workforce planning, workforce transformation, employee engagement and retention, and inclusion and diversity.
Manage the financial, physical and human resources of your area and promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of management practices and policies, including performance management, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
