Beechworth Correctional Centre is a minimum-security facility with a focus on preparing individuals for reintegration back into society. By providing experience in working industries, it gives prisoners the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills for future employment. When not engaged in work, the men attend rehabilitative programs, education and engage in community assistance.
The Justice Officer, Prison Services delivers administration and client service duties within the prison environment, requiring a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and integrity. It's a great entry level role for someone looking for a long term public service career with lots of opportunity to progress within government.
As the position is prison-based, some interaction with prisoners is necessary.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess well-developed computer literacy, be able to show experience using a finance-related system such as Oracle and have an understanding of either shop, store or warehousing operations.
