SunRice was built by the Australian rice industry over many decades and today is one of Australia’s leading branded food exporters, with approximately 2,000 employees and operations in 11 countries.
SunRice is a great place to work, providing a real opportunity for passionate people to make a difference.
Are you someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and collaborating with a variety of teams to keep things running smoothly? In this role, you’ll partner with teams across Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement and Logistics (to name a few) - as well as international colleagues - to support operational performance and drive continuous improvement across the business.
You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly team where everyone leans in to help one another. You’ll gain exposure across the organisation, contribute to meaningful operational decisions, and work in an environment that values curiosity, improvement and collaboration.
If you enjoy variety, problem‑solving and turning data into meaningful insights, this is an opportunity to grow your commercial and operational capability while working with great people.
This role can be located in either our Sydney CBD office, or at our Leeton site.
Key responsibilities will include:
Set and maintain accurate standard costs for both manufactured and imported products, supporting smarter forecasting and operational decisions.
Bring clarity to complex operational, costing and supply‑chain data - spotting trends, explaining variances and translating insights into clear actions.
Consolidate inputs from Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Logistics and international teams to deliver accurate, timely and genuinely useful reporting.
Maintain clean, reliable SAP data so decision‑makers always have the right information at the right time.
Support planning cycles by preparing forecasts, reviewing cost drivers and helping teams understand what’s influencing performance.
Identify smarter, faster ways of working - simplifying processes, reducing manual tasks and finding opportunities for automation.
Build strong, positive relationships across the business, sharing insights in a clear, practical and engaging way.
Dive into performance and costing analysis to uncover inefficiencies, highlight opportunities and contribute to ongoing operational improvements.
About You
You’re someone who loves digging into data, finding patterns, and helping people understand what’s really going on behind the numbers. You’re curious, proactive and confident working with different teams - and you’re always looking for opportunities to make processes smoother, smarter and more efficient.
You will thrive in this role if you:
Have solid SAP experience, especially within the costing modules, and feel confident navigating operational, costing or supply‑chain data.
Are strong in Excel - formulas, modelling, analysis - and enjoy using data to tell a clear story.
Have experience in manufacturing and product costing.
Communicate clearly and build positive relationships across different teams and levels.
Bring a continuous‑improvement mindset and enjoy spotting opportunities to streamline or automate.
Can balance detail with commercial thinking - understanding not just what the numbers say, but why they matter.
Enjoy being part of a supportive team and contributing to shared goals and deadlines.
Are organised, curious and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks without losing accuracy.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in finance.
