The Opportunity:
This role is based at our Mildura Warehouse on Sandown Drive. Reporting to the Warehouse & Procurement Manager, the purpose of this role is to support warehouse operations, inventory management and dispatch activities across the business. The role ensures the timely receipt, storage, picking and distribution of goods, while maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the supply of equipment and spare parts to orchard and maintenance operations. This role combines warehouse operations, dispatch coordination and inventory control, with a focus on availability, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Role responsibilities include:
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock accuracy, cycle counts, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and process all stock movements within the system.
- Raise and process purchase orders, monitor stock availability, and support supplier and repair coordination activities.
- Pick, pack, dispatch, deliver, and receive goods while coordinating freight and transport requirements.
- Ensure accurate receipting, verification, storage, labelling, and documentation of all materials and inventory.
- Operate forklifts safely and maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Provide parts and logistics support to orchard, maintenance, and other internal stakeholders across multiple sites.
- Respond to operational enquiries and support activities across satellite warehouses as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting LEAN practices and recommending process enhancements.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures to ensure efficient and compliant warehouse operations.
About You:
- 2+ years' experience in a warehouse, stores or inventory roles (however someone with little to no experience may be considered if they have the appropriate mindset and background in farming equipment);
- Strong computer skills and understanding of machinery maintenance programs;
- Proven ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively;
- A practical, problem solver with strong collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications & Licences:
- Warehouse/Logistics qualifications are highly desired but not required;
- Current driver’s licence and forklift licence (essential); and
- HR licence is a bonus (however willingness to obtain HR licence and other relevant certifications as needed is required).
