Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Property, Resilience & Security, this role is responsible for protecting people, assets, and critical infrastructure across a diverse national footprint, including corporate offices, retail stores, campuses, data centres, and network facilities.
About the role:
As Senior Director, Physical Security, you will lead the delivery of physical security operations, security technology programs, incident management, and regulatory compliance activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring Optus maintains a strong, risk-based security posture while supporting business objectives across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading enterprise physical security strategy, frameworks, standards, and operational delivery.
Overseeing national physical security operations, including the 24/7 Security Operations and Facilities Control Centre.
Managing the deployment and lifecycle of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems.
Driving compliance with critical infrastructure and security regulatory requirements, including SOCI obligations.
Managing key security vendors and service providers to ensure effective service delivery and governance.
Partnering across the business to enhance the safety and security of employees, customers, contractors, and assets.
