About the role:
This is an extraordinary opportunity for a Senior Architect with proven capability to make their mark leading major Melbourne projects. You will be working across varying development types, however primarily focusing on the residential sector at a range of scales and all stages of projects in a team environment.
You will partner with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure design excellence, financial health of the project, quality of project documents, team collaboration and communication. This will be a great opportunity to develop your career with the ability to lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
You will be responsible for:
- Working alongside the Project Principal / Project Lead on a variety of Multi-Residential and Mixed-Use projects.
- Your skills need to be dynamic and adaptable to facilitate working from Concept Design through to Construction Observation.
- A hands on approach is required, working within a complementary team environment.
- Self-motivation and leadership are important within a busy studio environment.
- Experience working with clients and consultants directly to drive outcomes is required.
- Familiarity with Town Planning, VCAT, DTP, GDFT, DFP, and Deemed to Comply Applications processes and BADs is essential.
- Prepare documentation for Town Planning, Design development and construction documents.
- Professional degree in architecture and preferably registration in VIC, would be welcomed.
- Quality control research for project and construction methods related to projects.
Skills required:
- Professional degree in architecture and preferably registration in VIC, would be welcomed
- 10+ years of experience in the local market (VIC/Australia)
- Advanced knowledge of Revit is required and Sketchup, Enscape and Adobe suite
- Strong knowledge of project development and construction processes
- Passion for good design outcomes, enthusiasm to learn within a great team environment
- Strong working knowledge of BADs, BCA, Australian Standards and Council requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to inspire collaboration between client and project teams as a single point of contact
- Ability to motivate others and lead a team
