Your role

As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will have a wonderful opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping network with FTTx comprising >70% of the total footprint.

You will play a key role in:

• The Senior Solution Engineer will collaborate across the organisation – Product Owners, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Vendors/Delivery Partners, Operations, Capacity & Performance Teams.
• Providing technical leadership to the detailed design development, testing and production deployment of FTTx solutions ensuring they meet business requirements, honour architectural intent, and uphold engineering standards.
• Ensuring design decisions appropriately consider scale rollout, OSS impacts, security, automation, and innovation.
• Managing delivery team level commitments and track risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Building constructive relationships with vendors and delivery partners and ensuring quality in their outcomes
• Provide engineering guidance to help internal and external teams navigate operational, lifecycle, capacity, and network performance challenges.
• Steward the evolution of engineering standards, collaborating closely with peer engineers, architecture, and operational teams to encourage continuous improvement.
• Create tactical/strategic solutions to complex network issues with significant operational and fiscal impact.
• Monitor engineering performance metrics and drive improvement outcomes as required.

Your profile

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated extensive engineering experience in Solution Engineering and Solution Delivery as part of a large telecommunications provider or vendor in one or both below areas:

• FTTx Access Network: GPON/XGSPON (OLT, ONT), VDSL2 (DSLAM, DPU), Intent Based Networking
• FTTx EMS Applications: Containerised (AAC), Virtualised (ACS, AMS), Automation using Jenkins & Ansible, Python & Shell Scripting
