You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.
Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.
In this role, you'll:
Join our Customer Behaviour team, where you will lead the delivery of Travel Demand Management (TDM) initiatives that influence how people move across NSW.
You will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies that reduce congestion, improve journey efficiency and promote more sustainable and active travel behaviours across key precincts and corridors.
You are someone who enjoys working across data, strategy and real-world delivery, and you will contribute to meaningful behaviour change at scale to support better outcomes for customers, communities and the transport network.
You'll lead the delivery of complex programs and initiatives, including:
- Identifying, analysing and applying data, insights and stakeholder inputs to inform travel demand strategies and behaviour change initiatives
- Undertaking research and planning to develop fit-for-purpose TDM solutions, including plans and strategies for businesses and communities
- Leading the direct implementation of TDM programs to support sustainable and active travel outcomes for projects, precincts and organisations
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, government agencies, businesses and service providers and communicating confidently with stakeholders, including in public settings.
- Providing timely reporting and advice to senior stakeholders, including performance insights, risks and recommended actions
- Leading evaluation and continuous improvement of initiatives to ensure effectiveness and alignment with transport outcomes
- Providing expert advice to influence policy development, planning and program delivery
- Coordinating cross-agency collaboration to align initiatives with broader transport and urban development objectives.
We currently have 2 x permanent full time positions available, offering hybrid working options from our Elizabeth Street office.

About you
You are an experienced project leader with well-developed project management expertise, able to lead multiple concurrent initiatives and bring structure, discipline and momentum to delivery in dynamic environments.
You bring knowledge and expertise in delivering creative but effective solutions to complex transport programs, and the ability to analyse data and insights to inform practical, outcome-focused solutions. You are skilled at understanding customer behaviour and using this to shape effective and pragmatic travel demand management strategies.
Your advanced communication skills allow you to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights, and to provide advice to senior stakeholders. You have excellent verbal communication skills and can communicate effectively with different audiences, including with private organisations, and the public. You build lasting relationships across government and industry, and you are comfortable influencing and collaborating to achieve shared outcomes.
You are also highly organised, with strong project management capability, and you take a structured approach to planning, delivery and continuous improvement. You take accountability for your work and work inclusively and collaboratively with others.
